Last year, when I did my yearly reflections thought I would not have much to say. But it turned out I had. Well, this year quite a few things on my mind too so, if you are ready, let's dig in.
1-Getting ANECA accredited: This can be one of the highlights of my 2023 because not only did I get accredited by La Agencia Nacional de Evaluación de la Calidad y Acreditación (The National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation), but also I got the higher academic rank which is Associate Professor. This meant a lot to me because I struggled in the past to understand my value due to past work experiences I had. Getting this distinction from Spanish authorities made me believe in myself.
2-Obtaining my PostDoc: This was a long time due as I had lost motivation from time to time to finish it but with the help of my great friends and supervisors, I finalized my PostDoc studies and got my diploma from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. It was a great experience and a learning opportunity for me.
3-Starting my teaching journey in CEDEU: After being behind the screens for some time I finally was ready to go back there and be inside a physical classroom once again. I started to teach Marketing courses for undergrads in Centro de Estudios Universitarios Madrid. I can not say that it was not challenging to travel back and forth but it truly was rewarding for me. I got out of my comfort zone and started transferring my knowledge in Spanish(not that easy, folks).
4-Being EntreComp Champion: The EntreComp journey surely continued and this time with an achievement. I was recognized and awarded by the distinguished jury as the EntreComp Champion. I am proud to be part of this community and contribute as much as I can.
5- Continuing my Chartered Marketer status: Once you are Chartered, always you are chartered? No, that's not the case for CIM. But luckily, I am continuing to be a Chartered Marketer because I do my homework and log my CPD each year. Happily, one more year I can call myself a Chartered Marketer.
I know that I did not write here as much as I wanted. I know I did not have time to publish as much as I wanted. But the new realities in my life needed time and dedication and that's why my conscience is free. I have 2 more important projects for the first half of 2024 but I do not want to disclose them before I finalize them. So, already looking forward to them with hope and a little bit of anxiety. I hope you also had a good year like the one I had.
